Mr. K's Chinese Cuisine & Sushi is a good destination if you are in the Lake Nina section of Orlando and craving some good New York takeout style Chinese food. Since it is in a shopping plaza, parking shouldn't be s problem. Walking in to place a takeout order, I found that Mr. K's Chinese Cuisine & Sushi is a small restaurant, but I found the ambiance was pleasant enough. I ordered my takeout order, which was just a couple of lo main dishes (one pork and one shrimp) and a couple of egg rolls. The young man working the counter was friendly and professional and told me that my order would be ready in about fifteen minutes. I was outside just aimlessly walking and this young man brought my food out to me. When I got home, we tore into our meals. The egg rolls were decent, not great, but good. My pork lo mein was pretty good and I will say that I enjoyed the pork lo mein and would recommend it. All in all, if you are in the Lake Nona area, Mr. K's Chinese Cuisine & Sushi is a pretty solid option if you are craving Chinese food. I might have gave it a four star review, but the young man bringing out my food made me decide to up the rating to five stars. Customer service is definitely important and he definitely embraced that customer service.

Quaint Chinese restaurant with great + straight forward menu in the heart of Nona. Coming from NY, this type of 'hole in the wall' restaurant was always a weekly thing, and I'd found it pretty hard to live without one... suffice it to say, glad we stumbled on Mr K's as it's become our staple Chinese joint. Service is always quick + pleasant, Food is always fresh + plentiful, and the consistency is crazy. Completely content, every time. Thanks for the great food and we look forward to you staying Lake Nonas OG Chinese spot! 谢谢您!

We've been ordering from Mr. K's since we moved to Florida back in 2008. I don't know what they put in their green beans and fried rice but it's literally the best green beans and fried rice from any Chinese restaurant I've been to. It's such a random staple for me but they're so good I have to acknowledge and share my love for specifically those two things! We used to dine into the restaurant pre-COVID and service was fine. Now we only order take-out and for the most part, it's always ready on time. Every time I go inside to pick up the food (and before when we would dine in-house) the place always felt clean. We love Mr. K's and will continue to support and recommend them!

So satisfied with our entrees. The walnut shrimp was lightly breaded and fried, surprisingly you can eat the tail as it was crispy & the walnut was addicting. The orange chicken was perfect paired with white rice, the sizzling scallops with beef was good on it's own or with rice. Our beef sticks appetizer was more tender than some of the beef on the beef chow mein but overall I enjoyed everything. I have ordered the crispy beef and Singapore mein fun for take out before and no complaints there as well. Service was quick. Ambiance was casual without frills but hey the food is great. The only downside is that the tables are small it wound only fit 3 entrees with 4 people seated eating with a plate of their own. We ordered 5 dishes and luckily didn't spill or drop a couple of the dishes hanging at the edge. Also we were served 3 cups of rice instead of 4 (1 for each entree except the chow mein) we had to order another cup.

Our favorite local Chinese restaurant. Friends turned us on to Mr k's last New years Eve. The shrimp moo Shoo is very flavorful. The wonton soup was a little bland. I will try one of their other soups next time We ordered takeout this time rather than dine in. Everything was packed neatly. No leaking containers. The woman who took our take out order was very pleasant as well as patient.

They have phenomenal Hot & Sour soup but everything else from here is not my favorite; other recipes seem to taste slightly different than what you'd expect when you get things such as the Chicken Lo Mein or Chicken with Garlic Sauce. It is very busy now that it is the only Chinese food available on this side of town so keep that in mind, but they do handle the flow really well, and I love that they have Apple Pay at the register!

No Sushi! There was a sign in the dining room that they currently weren't doing Sushi (Dec 2023). We weren't coming for sushi, so it worked out for us. We tried this new-to-us Chinese spot in the Lake Nona area and it was good. The dining room was a medium size and I could see it getting busy. I haven't been to a Chinese place that served crunchy wonton strips and duck sauce in a while, so it was nice to see. And for an appetizer, they had a spicy dumpling so that HAD to be ordered. Yum. I have to admit I was intrigued that they had BOTH Yang Chow (young chow) and House Special fried rice. I've used these interchangeably in my years of eating americanized Chinese cuisine. Well, according to the waiter, they're different. Both have the chicken, pork and shrimp, but the Yang Chow is made without soy sauce. I don't know if that's a thing everywhere, but it is according to Mr. K. I went with the House Special with no peas/carrots and after one mistakenly made version, they brought out a new one which was absolutely delicious. The Mrs. had one of her favorites, the Singapore rice noodles and if you like hot noods (spicy), then the will do the trick. They were good as well but nothing spectacular. This probably fits the bill for people in the area, but not worth a trip to Lake Nona just to go here. I'm on a quest for a "nice" sit-down atmosphere for a Chinese restaurant and although this was decent, I don't think I'd go back.

Great chinese food in the Orlando area. This review was posted the same day after eating at this establishment. It's very rare that I post a review the same day, but this spot definitely was deserving. I was in the area on business and had the taste for chinese food. After reading the reviews I was kind of skeptical about dining here, but am so glad I went with my gut as it's some of the best I've had. Upon entering it is a small quaint restaurant with an overall pleasant atmosphere. It got crowded after I arrived, but I had no complaints about the service. For the appetizer I ordered the spring rolls and boneless spare ribs. With were delicious! The boneless spare ribs were well seasoned and had an amazing grilled/smokey taste to it. Springs rolls were fresh and packed with vegetables. For the entree I ordered the orange chicken that came with white rice. Everything was good, but the orange chicken was the star of the show. Again, when initially reading the reviews I almost opted out of dining here. Boy am I glad I made the right choice. I am not discounting anyone else's experience, but mine was far from the negative reviews this establishment has received. If you're in the area check them out. The didn't have a bar so I sat at a table...
